About Adesoji

Paediatrician

Dr Adesoji Abiona

I am a paediatrician with over 20 years of invaluable experience in paediatric medicine now specialising in neurodevelopmental paediatrics and paediatric neurodisability. I also have expertise in rare genetic disorders, providing care in a couple of highly valued NHS England-funded national clinics for the care of children and young people with Xeroderma Pigmentosum and Cockayne Syndrome.

A graduate of the St. George’s Hospital Medical School, University of London, I have worked extensively for the NHS in London and in the South East of England.

I am trained in the use of autism diagnostic tools such as ADI-R and ADOS-2 and work for a dynamic NHS Trust. Autism and neurodisability assessments for children are at the core of my offering.

I am part of a Continuing Professional Development Programme (CPD) and I take part in regular appraisals to ensure that my practice remains current and of the highest standard. I am registered with the General Medical Council and I am a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

I believe in the empathetic delivery of care and this informs my approach to each individual and their family. I have a passion for helping children to reach their full potential by enabling them and their carers to answer some important questions as they navigate the complex world of paediatric neurodevelopment and neurodisability.
