Occupational Therapy

1

What is it?

Occupational Therapy can help your child better develop the skills they need in everyday life (such as dressing, writing and cutting up food). Occupational Therapists also have expertise in understanding how your child manages and regulates their sensory needs.

Our services include supporting individuals who have: Complex, severe and profound physical and learning disabilities; Neurological and neuromuscular disorders; Dyspraxia/Developmental Coordination Disorder; Sensory Integration/Sensory Processing Dysfunction; Autism; and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Occupational Therapy and assessments can be arranged with our associates and are dependant on availability.

Assessments

We first take the time to talk with you about how your child’s skills in everyday life are developing and how they sense and process the world around them. We then spend time with your child assessing their skills, including their: fine motor skills; gross motor skills; motor coordination; motor planning and sequencing; visual-motor and perceptual-motor skills; visual perception skills; handwriting skills; sensory development; and integration and processing.

Finally, we consider the impact difficulties in these areas might have in everyday life for your child.

Immediately after the assessment we share our observations with you; after which, a detailed report (with recommendations) will be written and sent to you.

Pricing

We can direct you to our associate Occupational Therapy colleagues Stella Parkinson and Karen Al Khina who will contact you directly to discuss therapy sessions, availability and pricing.
